Based just to the south of Nottingham, My Heart Desires
aims to provide adults, children and toddlers the opportunity
to have a go at creative crafting.
From
framed scrapbook pictures to making clocks, memo boards,
cards, glass painting, jewellery, or for the younger pair
of hands, felt brooches, paper bird houses, fun clocks and
much more. Regardless of age or ability we have a wide range
of courses to suit.

Being
a mother to four children and also working with children
aged 3 - 11 on a daily basis has given me a great insight
into how children learn. The comment I hear most is
" I can't do it!". Children can convince themselves
they are unable to do something even before giving it
a try. My aim in these new Parent/Toddler classes is
that, with help and guidance from myself and their parent/carer,
they "Can Do It". Just call it toddler team
building. If we can instill that, with the help of others,
we can achieve simple things now, and help build confidence
as they grow and have to face the more challenging things
that life will throw at them.

Childrens'
Craft Classes (Age 7+)

These
classes are run by NVQ level 3/4 childcare professionals
who are all fully CRB checked. The aim of these classes
is to give children the opportunity to build their confidence
by achieving craft projects using materials such as
felt, paper, glass, metal and much more. Projects can
include Fun clocks, jewellery, cards/invitations, paper
bird houses and pretty well anything else their imagination
can design.

The
beauty of these classes are you will be able to have
a try at crafting a wide variety of projects using an
equally wide array of materials. Examples include making
clocks, memo boards, cards/invitations, glass painting,
metal tags, jewellery and much more. The cost includes
all materials so why not come along, have fun and make
new friends.

for beginners |

This
is a 6 week taster course into the art of scrapbooking.
You will be using a wide variety of materials, and
learn how to display your work in both flat work and
3D. On the sixth week you will choose your favourite
piece of work and have it framed in one of our handmade
shadow boxes. So why not dig out some of your favourite
photos and come along.
